How the New King of the Hill Points System Works

We’ve recently updated how KoTH points are calculated. Now, the more risk you take, the more points you can earn. Points still reflect your wagers, but they also scale with each game’s Return to Player (RTP). In other words, higher-risk games give you bigger point returns — adding a new layer of strategy to your climb.

How Points Work
We’ve introduced a new way to calculate points. Instead of being based only on how much you wager, points now also take into account the house edge of the game (which is the opposite of RTP).
In simple terms, the lower the RTP, the more points you’ll earn for the same wager. Games with higher RTPs (closer to 100%) give fewer points, while games with lower RTPs give more. This balances competition so every game type contributes fairly.
The Formula
Points = Wager × (Game Edge ÷ 0.035)
Wager = how much you bet
- Game Edge = (1 − RTP). For example, a 98% RTP game has a 2% edge.
- 0.035 = the baseline we use to balance points across games.
- For non-slot games, the house edge is capped at a maximum of 3% — the same rule applies across rewards and affiliates.
Example
Let’s say you wager $100:
On a game with 98% RTP (2% house edge):
$100 × (0.02 ÷ 0.035) ≈ 57.14 points
On a game with 96% RTP (3% edge):
$100 × (0.03 ÷ 0.035) ≈ 85.71 points
This means you’ll earn points faster on lower-RTP games, but you’ll still always get credit no matter what you play.

Opt-In Mechanics / Terms & Conditions
Joining King of the Hill is simple. Just play your favourite games and your wagers will automatically count towards the leaderboard. Here’s what you need to know:
- Participation - Place real money wagers on any eligible game. No extra opt-in required.
- Daily KoTH Leaderboard: Resets every day at 00:00 CET.
- Monthly KoTH Leaderboard: Runs throughout the month and ends at 00:00 CET on the 1st of the following month.
- Custom & Game-Specific KoTH Leaderboards: Occasionally, special leaderboards will run for selected games or formats, all using the same points system.
- Prize Distribution: Claim your reward when the timer hits zero — your final rank determines the amount.
- Eligibility: All players are eligible, except sponsored gamers, streamers, and influencers.
- Fair Play: Abuse, exploitation/loophole use will result in disqualification and may lead to site bans.
- Eligible Games: All casino games and sports betting markets contribute to the Daily and Monthly KoTH leaderboards. Custom and game-specific KoTHs may also run from time to time, and these will follow the same points system.
