BlackRock files for Bitcoin ETF on 15th June 2023 Global investment management firm, BlackRock, filed for Bitcoin (BTC) exchange traded fund (ETF) on Thursday, 15th June 2023. This arrangement is done with Coinbase Custody as its custodian. The ETF will be available on iShares Bitcoin Trust which can track the investment results of an index composed of US and non-US companies trading in BTC. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) still rejects multiple spot BTC ETF applications but this one passes through.
