What is the biggest win on an online casino?

The beauty of playing in online casinos is that anyone, from any walk of life, can be among the online casino big winners. Whether you wager cents or hundreds, the outcome can swing your way into an instant jackpot. In fact, some of the biggest online slot jackpots came from small bets. Still, no matter the approach, the result is proof that anyone can write history.

Here are some of the most iconic online casino wins that changed the game forever:

US$37.5 million live-streamed Hex Appeal slot win

In July 2025, Tyler Niknam, also known as Trainwreckstv, broke records with a massive US$37.5 million jackpot on Massive Studio’s Hex Appeal slot. He placed a US$6,000 bet, only expecting a payout of around US$15 million. To his shock, the win turned out to be more than double the amount. His reaction was streamed live on Kick, which made the moment one of the most iconic wins online.

Once a big name on Twitch, Niknam moved to Kick in 2022 after he got banned for being involved in ‘unregulated gambling.’ Kick’s more relaxed rules gave him the space to continue his streams, which became known for the massive stakes and prizes. Since then, he has scored big wins, including US$22.5 million and US$20 million in 2022.

Niknam’s US$37.5 million prize is his current best and also the biggest online casino win ever won on an online slot.

US$24 million Mega Fortune win in Finland

Before Niknam’s 2025 win, one of the most-talked-about slot wins came in 2013. A 40-year-old man from Finland turned a small stake into a grand prize on the Mega Fortune slot by NetEnt. He placed a US$0.25 bet, only to trigger a jackpot of over €17.8 million (US$24 million at the time). It was the biggest casino win ever back then.

The Finnish winner chose to hide his identity, but the event quickly took over headlines as one of the greatest penny-to-million tales in an online casino.

US$23.6 million Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah win in Belgium

In the spring of 2021, a Belgian player struck one of the biggest online casino wins in history with a spin on Games Global’s (formerly Microgaming) Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot. The game, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, paid out a grand prize of €19.4 million (US$23.6 million at the time) to his €15 bet.

This win is among the top ten biggest online slot jackpots of all time. What made it even more striking was how recent it was, proof that the Mega Moolah series is still one of the most rewarding games you can play.

‘It was on my last spin that it happened…to actually live this moment, I feel so lucky,’ the winner shared in a press release from the online casino he won at.

US$23.5 million Grand Mondial victory

Not long after, another hidden winner bagged €18.9 million at Grand Mondial Casino, a UK-based platform known for huge jackpot titles. At the time, the grand prize was about US$23.5 million, a total catch for the player’s US$0.75 bet. The win quickly joined the ranks of the online casino big win stories that people still talk about today.

If it isn’t as shocking, the jackpot hit within less than 50 spins. This makes the win one of the fastest ever online, which shows that life-changing wins don’t always mean playing for hours and with bigger stakes. Sometimes, all it takes is a few spins to rewrite your future.

US$19.9 million win by a soldier from the UK

One of the most inspiring jackpot tales came in October 2015. British soldier Jon Heywood won the €17.8 million prize on Games Global’s Mega Moolah, which was worth US$19.9 million. The small stake and incredible prize made headlines across the world. His win was also honoured by the Guinness World Records as the largest online slot payout at that time.

What set Heywood’s win apart was how he chose to use his prize. Instead of spending on lavish items, the first thing he did was fund the medical care for his sick father. Only then did he buy a decent car for himself.

While his prize wasn’t the flashiest, it remains one of the most impactful online casino big win. He’s shown how fortune can be used for more than personal gain.

US$17.3 million win on Arabian Nights slot

Back in 2011, a Norwegian player struck gold on NetEnt’s Arabian Nights slot. He walked away with about US$17.3 million grand prize.

Known as one of the earliest jackpot slots, Arabian Nights had built a strong branding in the 2010s for its seven-figure prizes. With 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 paylines, the slot became a fan-favourite across Europe.

This jackpot stood out not only for its size but also for its timing. At the height of Arabian Nights’ popularity, many played in hopes of landing big wins, yet this one lucky lad ended up with the top prize. Even years later, the win remains one of the biggest online casino wins linked to NetEnt titles.
